WhatsApp edit button now available on beta

WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, has introduced an Edit button in its beta version, allowing users to make changes to their sent messages.

The Edit button feature is currently available only in the beta version of WhatsApp, and its release in the stable version is yet to be announced.

With the Edit button, users can modify the content of their sent messages, be it text, images, videos, or documents.

Previously, WhatsApp only allowed users to delete their sent messages, leaving a "This message was deleted" notification in the chat. The Edit button provides a more flexible and convenient option.

To access the Edit button, users need to select the message they want to edit, tap on the three-dot menu icon, and choose the "Edit" option.

After selecting the Edit option, the message will open in the editing mode, where users can modify the content as desired.

It's important to note that once a message has been edited, WhatsApp will display a "Edited" tag to indicate that changes have been made.

The Edit button also comes with certain limitations. Users can only edit their messages within a specific time frame.

Edited messages will retain their original timestamps, so recipients will be able to see that changes have been made.
