Utah State football player Andre Seldon Jr. dies

Andre Seldon Jr., a recent transfer to the Utah State football program, tragically lost his life in a drowning accident

According to a source close to the Deseret News, Seldon was with fellow Utah State football players and gymnasts

Witnesses reported them jumping off cliffs into the reservoir.

News of the possible drowning reached Cache County Sheriff's Office around 2:20 pm

Reports, later confirmed by the county's public police log, indicated a "young adult male" had not resurfaced after jumping from the cliffs.

ABC 4 anchor Brien McElhatten later confirmed that Seldon's body was recovered by authorities at approximately 9 pm.
