Eric Carmen Lead Singer of Raspberries Fame Passes Away at 74

Eric Carmen was the lead singer of the Raspberries and the singer behind "All by Myself,"

He passed away at age of 74.

His wife announced the sad news on their website

She said he died peacefully in his sleep over the weekend.

No reason for his death was mentioned.

Eric was famous for being in a 1970s band called the Raspberries

They had hit songs like "Let's Pretend" and "Go All the Way.

He even helped write "Almost Paradise" from the movie Footloose!
