There’s a rumor that Nvidia is working on a new version of its RTX 4070 graphics card. The new one would be a bit slower than the current model.
The main difference is the type of memory it uses. The current RTX 4070 has fast GDDR6X memory. The new one might use slower GDDR6 memory. This means it might not be as powerful as the current model.
Why would Nvidia do this? It’s possible they’re trying to make a cheaper version of the card. Or maybe they’re having trouble getting enough of the fast GDDR6X memory.
We don’t know for sure if this new card will actually come out. But if it does, it will be interesting to see how much slower it is and how much it costs.
